Dear Mayta,
We went on to have marvelous stays in Firenze and Paris, but never felt as though we were gleaning every last drop of nectar from the flower as we did in Roma with you. There are obviously layers of knowledge and culture to be uncovered in any location, and your pursuit of "Truth" (capital T) has given you a unique perspective, especially given your background.
Linda and I will always be grateful for your insights and patience as we began what I hope will be a continuing study of Roman culture and history. Hope we can further the course together in the future, and we will tell our friends planning a Roman holiday about you for their trips.
